Description Of Work:
Trimming of approximately 10 trees which had not been trimmed in several years, including 4 liquidambars, a couple of Chinese elms under siege by morning glory vines, and 4 fruit trees. Some of these trees had electrical lines running through them or nearby.

The lady who answered the phone was very friendly when I called to schedule an estimate. Dan (?) arrived right on time and gave a detailed estimate of the work that needed to be done, in addition to identifying a couple of our mystery trees.
A crew of five arrived on time and got right to work, ultimately filling an entire truck with debris. Though my husband and I tried to clear a path through the insidious morning glory to the elms the day before, there were still vines everywhere, and I woud not have been surprised to incur an extra charge for the additional labor involved of clearing out the vines just to get to the trees. And the dead fallen tree? Yep, cleared that too. However, there was no additional charge and that area of our yard looks so immeasureably better that I still wander back there and stand in awe at how incredible it is.
The crew touched base as they worked, inquiring as to what kind of shape/growth we wanted as the trees grew. Additionally, they cleaned up a bunch of fallen leaves (see 4 liquidambars) on our deck and driveway that had nothing to do with the tree trimming. They trimmed boughs near the house without dropping them on the roof, as we've had happen in the past (at a place we rented, with people we didn't hire, and a roof we didn't own, thankfully). I knew our trees had been neglected for many years (since a couple or homeowners and a foreclosure ago, I would guess), but I could not imagine just how much better our property looks. And I'm sure the pedestrians are glad to no longer get attacked by our elms when they walk past. (The pedestrians, not the elms.)
I would not hesitate to call on California Aborist again or to recommend them to a friend. In fact, they also do landscaping, and when that's in our budget, it's likely I'll call on them again.

Had a very reasonable offer the week before. Dereck and crew came on time and had 2 trimmers working at the same time in each tree. Supplements are a last resort to try and save these trees which are very old. If I could salvage for a few more years , the cost of $250.00 is worth it. Excellent service by all and will use again....

Estimate was free. Fernando was very professional and knowledgable, explained clearly what he recommended. He indicated which trees needed to be trimmed and which did not. He itemized cost per tree so I could choose which trees to do. On the day the work was scheduled Fernando and his crew came on time, worked efficiently, cleaned up after the work, including leaves and sawdust that fell in the pool.

Outstanding service, removed 7 Italian cypress, 3 were over 50' tall that were between my house and my neighbors. They put plywood on the roofs to protect them. The crew worked fast, effieciently and were very professional. Cleanup was thorough. I would recommend them to anyone who needs trees removed.

There was some initial confusion over setting up an appointment for the estimate, but they won my business by being genuinely apologetic about the error and by going out of their way to fit my job into their schedule. The work was done very professionally, on time and on budget. The team that did the work was pleasant, and included at least one fluent English speaker, which made it possible to be clear about the details of the job. In particular, the work order did not specifically say the stump of the dead tree was to be removed, although that was clearly part of what I'd discussed with the estimator. The crew understood my concern, checked with the office and removed the stump, without any hassle or argument. I think that addressing in a professional, pleasant manner those little issues that inevitably come up on any job is the mark of a good company, and California Arborists did that.

Topped, thinned and raised a huge, very prickly evergreen tree. (Removed 20 feet from top).

They showed up on time with a large crew and were extremely polite, neat and efficient. They went above and beyond the call of duty for a great price. They cleaned up thoroughly when the job was done, and even stacked the wood they cut for us to use as firewood.

Representative gave me a timely estimate and work was performed neatly, timely and as agreed. I had some reservations about not being home when work was done, but I couldn't have asked for any better service. There were no problems, and I even told representative that I wasn't worried about damage to some nearby landscaping/plants as I expected some due to the tight space involved and the proximity of plants to the tree being removed. Upon completion of the work, I barely noticed any damage to surrounding landscape. Overall, the service exceeded my expectations. I would definitely use this company again.

The company trimmed 5 large pepper trees, a tapioca, a f. benjamina, and a lime. They removed a lime, two large shrubs, and a cactus. They had to leave before the job was finished because of a bee hive. They returned when the bee situation was resolved.

Description Of Work:
Trimmed a huge overgrown Mulberry Tree in the front yard, trimmed 3 fruit trees in the back yard, and removed a total of 7 stumps from both front and back yard.

The experience was terrific! The crew arrived right on time and were finished within an hour. If it weren't for the fact that the stumps were gone, and the trees looked wonderful, I never would have known they had been there. They cleaned up after themselves and took all the branches with them and even raked up the yards! In fact, they even found a stump that was not part of the original bid and went ahead and removed it as well! The crew were pleasant and professional, and were top notch. I have some trees that will need doing in January, and I'll be calling California Arborist from here on in for any tree work. I highly recommend them to anyone who needs any tree service completed quickly, professionally, and for a fair price!
